The Bay Area Ridge Trail beckons with options for close-to-home, active outdoor recreation, as well as a quiet refuge in nature. When complete, the Ridge Trail will connect over 75 parks and open spaces. This continuous long-distance trail is also creating a protected greenbelt corridor for habitat and wildlife. Hike, Bike, or Horseback Ride the Ridge Trail Near You Planned as a multi-use trail for hikers, runners, cyclists and equestrians of all ages and abilities - over two-thirds of the dedicated miles are open to all users.
