The Council accepts gifts of appreciated stock, which we sell immediately in order to support our work. In accordance with IRS regulations, you will receive an acknowledgement for tax purposes listing the number of shares donated and the value of the stock calculated as the average of the high and low price as of the date the shares are received in our account.
Stock donations may offer significant tax benefits to the donor. We recommend that you consult a tax professional for specific advice about your situation.
